Lilongwe Social Communications Workshop

Resolutions & Recommendations

The Communications Commissions should employ qualified, motivated and trustworthy human resource and not be tempted to get cheap labor.

Migration and Human Trafficking Conference

The workshop was officially opened by Bishop Vicente Kiaziku explaining the theme and objectives of the workshop.

He noted that Africa has memories and wounds of colonialism, refugees and migrants. He quoted the Africae Munus Number 85 saying it is not only about reporting trafficking in persons and human rights abuses but it is about what the church can do to make a difference.

Matarane Refugee Camp Visit

IMBISA visited the camp on a fact finding mission with regards to Human Rights issues of refugees and migrants in particular  shelter, health, education, food, documentation, water and sanitation, discrimination, violence and conflict among other issues.

Regional Women Leadership Capacity Building

The occasion was graced by the IMBISA president Bishop Frank Nubuasah and the official opening was done by Archbishop Buthi of Johannesburg, South Africa.
